The client, a leading innovator in content marketing solutions based out of New York City helps brands engage the right consumers fusing the science of programmatic distribution with the art of content marketing. Their challenge lies in the fact that the innovative management staff are fairly young and inexperienced in day to day people management.
After an initial phone call to explore their challenges, we sat down in a face-to-face meeting in lower Manhattan to discuss their need to bring people-management skills to their team. With their scheduling needs and Management Training Institute’s flexible model, we designed six half day training sessions to be run once monthly. Starting with Interviewing Skills and moving on to myriad of professional communication skills the sessions explored skills involved in motivation, evaluation, delegation, developmental coaching and corrective coaching.
Reception to the training has been high. Engagement amongst the 25 mid-level and senior managers has been positive. Their hunger for better tools and insights is a solid sign of ongoing success and our interactive methodologies were a perfect match for the young attendees. The sequentially delivered series has allowed each participant to fully absorb the materials and then put them into day-to-day practice before taking on the next people-management topic areas. The entire organization is benefiting.
